Grant Writing Workshop - June 7

Emily Benjamin of Lee County Economic Development Group and Erika Barrett of the Daily Gate City are hosting a grant writing 101 workshop for organizations interested in learning how to apply for and write grants. 

Learn how to create a vision for your organization, identify what you need, and search for grants that match your vision on local, county, state, regional, and national levels. Learn how to use technology to facilitate better grant writing and receive more funding. 

Where: Southeast Iowa Development Center, Third Floor, 1417 Exchange St, Keokuk, IA 52632 When: Wednesday, June 7 from 9 a.m. to noon. 

Cost: $50 registration to enter a raffle. Two organizations will be randomly selected. The first winner can choose to either take the remaining registration money (after the cost of lunch is deducted) as a donation to their organization or choose to have Emily and Erika will write a grant for the organization during the workshop as the example. 

$15 to attend but not enter the raffle (cost of lunch) The workshop will be capped at 20 participants, so register quickly. 

Organizations are allowed to bring two representatives from their organization to the event. Depending on the response and helpfulness of the event, more will be planned in the future. 

Payments can be made with the Keokuk Chamber of Commerce online, by invoice, or by phone at 319-524-5055.
